House Church
In 2009 we started a house church with Pastor Hugo in Punchana, a district of Iquitos. Using a basic Hermeneutical method, which is the science of interpreting the Bible, based on the context of the story, chapter, book and the entire Bible, we We began this process in May and have seen it take on a life of it's own. We now meet in different houses each week teaching chronologically by telling the major stories of the Bible.
In the house church Brandon was teaching Bible stories every week until he left in October until early December. Upon returning he found, that using the Hermeneutical principles he taught them, they were continuing the stories into the life of Moses. The members of the Church no longer need Brandon to teach now, but would rather use their spiritual gifts to teach others.
Pastor Hugo has recently talked to Brandon about taking a small group of around eight people and discipling them, teaching them Bible stories during the week and then letting them teach these stories to a larger crowd. This will start more home groups as they become accustomed to teaching.
Iglesia en casa Nueva Vida
En el mes de Mayo de 2009, hemos empezado una iglesia de casa con el Hermano Pastor Hugo y su esposa en el distrito de Punchana en Iquitos. Ahora estamos en diferentes casas cada semana ensenando la Palabra de Dios cronológicamente ensenando las historias mayores de la palabra.
Brandon estaba ensenando las historias cada semana hasta que fue por casi 2 meses del mes de Octubre hasta el mes de Diciembre. Cuando regreso a Iquitos ha encontrado que la iglesia usando los principios de hermenéutica que el enseno estuvieron cantando historias de la vida de Moisés. Los miembros de la iglesia no quieren que Brandon continua contando porque sientan capaces de hacerlos ellos mismos.
Entonces Brandon Y Pastor Hugo han hablado acerca de Brandon discipulando y ensenando 8 personas cada semana y estos 8 personas ensenando a la iglesia. Esto nos va a ayudar mucho en abrir más grupos en otros partes de Iquitos.
